“Imagine, Create & Inspire.”- Ni’ma Ford
When it comes to fashion working as a fashion stylist/creative director, I, Ni'ma Ford, breathe far beneath the seams. I attended LIM College for the business of fashion, studied Fashion Merchandising and minored in Fashion Styling. I'm capable throughout a variety of mediums both in front and behind the cameras — including editorial, film, events planning and developing special art campaigns. I've worked at Zink Magazine as an In-House Stylist creating fashion editorial spreads and content, also I have collaborated with top tier industry names such as Uniqlo, Dazed & Confused, Tiffany’s, Refinery29 and more. Noted for my eccentric, vintage-inspired street style, as well as for my spot on the cover on THE SARTORIALIST: CLOSER; My unique approach to incorporating vintage with inimitable color combinations and classical flairs has led me from the pages to the screen, with fashion films (creative direction/production) being one of my latest artistic passion.
Not only does my experience and knowledge within fashion extend beyond just being a credible stylist, creative director, and model- but also feeds my enthusiasm and dedication as a community organizer. I am always striving to give back, inspire others and mentor students on following their dreams and working towards a life of creativity & entrepreneurship. I've had the pleasure of working with; Thomas H Slater Center, Step Up Girls, Youth Bureau, WPHS College & Career, & YWCA. I hope to branch out and create more programs for the youth to expand their horizons and see the possibilities in the creative industries.
